Terry Lowry (1939-2015) succumbed to lung cancer on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at the Drumheller Health Centre, Drumheller, AB. Terry was born in Sawyerville, QC, son of the late Hazen A. Lowry and the late Geraldine Forgrave Lowry, loving father to Pamela Lowry Derksen and dear poppa of Danielle and Reagan. Terry will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters: Daryl (Elizabeth) Vergennes, VT, USA; Dawn (Andre Theoret) Salmon Arm, B.C.; Brian (Brenda), Whitby, ON and Jill (Germain Boutin), Island Brook, QC. Predeceased by his brother Duane (Australia). Also left with cherished memories are Margaret Winslow, Donna and Sheamus Breen, special aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends from Terry’s years of farming in Quebec and the racehorse industry in Alberta. Thanks to the staff at the Sunshine Lodge residence in Drumheller and to the excellent nursing staff at the Drumheller Health Centre. A memorial celebration to be held at a later date in Calgary, with interment of ashes in the Eaton cemetery in Quebec. Memorial tributes may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
