FORD, Imgard (Irma)
April 5, 1932 – January 25, 2013
Mom was born Imgard Frey in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, the second of twelve children. Eventually Mom made her way to Eckville, Alberta where she met and married Dad, Bill Ford. Together they moved to Drumheller, Alberta where they raised their three children. She worked hard her whole life but her favourite job was with the people in the Sunshine Lodge as Activity Co-ordinator. Mom loved cleaning, helping and befriending people wherever and whenever she could. She was involved with Beta Sigma Phi for 44 years. Irma will be sorely missed by her many friends and family who loved her. Mom was pre-deceased by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, mother and father-in-law, two brothers-in-law and one nephew. She is survived by her loving husband Bill of 60 years, sons Bradley (Pat), Brett (Karina), daughter Brenda (Richie), grandchildren Jason, Darcy (Chrissy), Brandi, Colette (Andrew), Michelle (Lydell), 16 great-grandchildren, sisters Erna (Andy), Helen (Larry), Jeannie (Jerry), brothers Walter, Jim (Nonda), Gary (Lorna), Lorne (Jan), brother-in-law Raymond, sisters-in-law Rena (Alex), Lizette and Betty and numerous nieces and nephews. Upon Mom’s wishes, there will be no service. She wanted everyone to “Follow the rainbow on down the road” and pay it forward whenever you can.
