Gail Valerie Lowther (nee: Knibb), much loved mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Sunday, April 22 at the age of 61. Gail was predeaceased by her parents Lou and Flora (Gladue) Knibb and her siblings Nancy, Gerald and Sandra. She is survived by her beloved sons Joe (Sherry), Ron, David (Nikki), her treasured grandchildren Noah and Dani Lynn, and siblings Adele, Joey, Joyce, Shirley, Beryl and Louella. Gail was born in High Prairie, Alberta, lived for awhile in Fort McMurray before she made Drumheller her home in 1985. She had a love for life and enjoyed spending time with her many friends but, her favourite times were the ones spent with her family and she treasured the time she spent doting over her grandchildren. Gail will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. A memorial service in Gail’s honour will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Courtney-Winters Funeral Home in Drumheller with Skip McArthur officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Drumheller Legion. Donations may be made in Gail’s name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
