It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Laura Helen Worman (Mom), the patriarch of our close knit family, on September 20, 2011 at the age of 87 years. A lifelong resident of Newcastle, she was our Mom, Nana, and Baba, more importantly she was the foundation our family was built upon. A person of humble means, she taught us the meaning of family, strength, fun and love. She leaves a large family of loved ones, her children; Danny (Heather), Dianne (Al), David (Marilyn) and Debbie (Larry) as well as 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Laura was predeceased by: her infant son, her mother Stella Ezelyk, two brothers Walter and Louie Ezelyk and one sister Anne Ezelyk. A private service and burial was held by the family. The family held a Celebration of Laura’s Life at 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2011 at The Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club in Drumheller, Alberta. Donations may be made in honour of Laura to the Drumheller Humane Society, Box 1474, Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y0. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the home care staff, the nursing staff, and to Dr. Moshood for the care, compassion and kindness shown to mom and our family during mom’s illness.
