First snow causes traffic woes

The first fall of snow to blanket the valley this season has caused some traffic woes Monday afternoon, November 23.

This was especially the case on the South Hill where traffic was backed up behind vehicles attempting to climb out of the valley.  Forecasts are calling for more snow this evening, as well as drop in temperature, which could add to the hazzard.

Road crews are out sanding, and police are asking drivers to drive with caution. Don Boyer provided The Mail with this photo of a truck stuck on the South Hill.

New development underway in core

Construction is underway on an exciting new development in downtown Drumheller.
inSide Drumheller reported in its July 31 edition of the number of new developments in downtown Drumheller. Earlier this month excavation began on a lot beside the Napier Theatre on 3rd Avenue, making way for a new building in the core. The two-storey building offers space for business in an already crowed core.
“Yes, it is great to see new development in the downtown core. The building will blend in well with the surrounding buildings and offer tenants a great location in a brand new space,” said Bob Sheddy of Power Realty.
Anyone interested in the space should contact Bob sooner than later as the space can be customized to the Tenant’s needs as the development continues.
