Dragons take loss over Camrose Kodiaks in last regular season game Saturday night

 
The Drumheller Dragons travelled to Camrose to face the Kodiaks Saturday night in their final regular season game of the 2014/2015 season. 
The Dragons Scott Ivey opened scoring 40 seconds into the game but the Kodiaks scored three goals to make the score 3-1 at the end of the first. Each team scored in the second period, before the Kodiaks scored again in the third to make the final score 5-2. 
The Dragons will now rest for a few days before they begin their first round of the playoffs against the Olds Grizzlys. The games are as follows: 
Wednesday March 4 Olds @ Dragons 7 p.m.
Thursday March 5 Olds @ Dragons 7 p.m. 
Saturday March 7 Dragons @ Olds 7 p.m.
If Necessary: Sunday March 8 Dragons @ Olds 7 p.m.
If Necessary: Wednesday March 11 Olds @ Dragons 7 p.m.

How many smaller towns could offer a great Canadian morning of pancakes and hockey? Drumheller can, to kick off March on Sunday, the first. In the top photo, Jim Shroud and Shelley Rymal invite residents to the Drumheller Legion pancake breakfast, on until 12:30. In the lower photo, winger Jodi Kucher in red, left, and defence Shelby Davey, right, as the Drumheller Drumstix win their game with Edmonton to advance to the 2 pm final. Centre Laura Hegberg said their team will face off with the Calgary Randoms, in what is sure to be a great game. 

Dragons take win over Calgary Mustangs in last regular season home game

 
The Drumheller Dragons played their final regular season home game Friday night against the Calgary Mustangs. 
The Dragons too an early 1-0 lead with a goal from Dakota Zaharichuk but the Mustangs fought back tying the game before the Dragons’ Ryan Jevne and Marcus Messier scored to make the score heading into the second 3-1. By the end of the second the two teams had each scored one more goal making the score 4-2. In the third Zaharichuk and Jevne each scored their second of the night along with a third goal from the Mustangs making the final score 6-3. 
The Dragons now head to Camrose Saturday night to finish out their regular season against the Kodiaks.
