Grainger, Alberta - Beiseker RCMP are currently on scene of a collision resulting in Highway 575 being impassable.

At approximately 11:00 am, Beiseker RCMP responded to a collision between a semi-trailer unit and a train at the railway crossing on Highway 575 near Township road 243. The semi, which was loaded with grain struck the train, causing a minor derailment and blocking the highway.

The driver of the semi was treated on scene for minor injuries and no other injuries were reported. Heavy fog is believed to have been a factor in the collision.
