Trial set for man charged in Christmas Eve mishap with school

truck crash

A trial date has been set for a Calgary man charged following a Christmas Eve crash at the Drumheller Valley Secondary School (DVSS).
Drumheller RCMP was called to the school shortly after 9 a.m. on December 24, 2017. According to initial reports, a late model Ford F150 was travelling eastbound on North Railway Avenue when it appears to have failed to negotiate the corner. The truck collided with the southwest corner of the school, breaking through the wall.
The vehicle was discovered a short time later near the tennis courts on the DVSS property.
Jonathan Noble, 30, of Calgary, was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle under the criminal code and was issued a ticket for failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
A trial date has been set for Friday, May 11, in provincial court in Drumheller.
