The Light Up the Night contest sparked huge interest across the valley, creating a consistent festive feel just in time for Christmas.
The Drumheller Mail’s People’s Choice Award went to Joyce Lee of Riverside.
Best Residential Lights display had three winners. Ken and Lisa Jackson won first place for their Nacmine home, Randy and Sharon Hardy of Rosedale won second, and Lonnie Farmer of Willow Point won third place.
Newcastle won Brightest Christmas Community. The third and final category was the Best Commercial Christmas display which was won by Rocky Mountain Equipment located along Highway 10 X in the east end of town.
The contest opened to the public on Saturday, November 18.
