Gearing up for food drive

IMG 7147

Drumheller’s annual food drive is coming up on Thursday, November 24. This is a one-day blitz throughout the Town of Drumheller and surrounding communities in an effort to fill the shelves of The Salvation Army Food Bank in time for the Christmas season.

In the spirit of community, many volunteers go door-to-door to collect and sort the donations. Many others show their support by donating non-perishable food items. To make the evening go smoothly, tucked into this week’s edition of inSide Drumheller is a red bag.

This highly visible bag allows residents to fill them with their donation and leave them out on the porch to make it easier for volunteers to collect.

Food drive organizers (l-r) Kim Suntjens, Summer Manca and Captain Jennifer Hillier gear up for the food drive with their red bags.
