Male Suspect Forces Entry and Sexually Assaults Homeowner

RCMP Release, Drumheller, Alberta - On January 10, 2016, at approximately 10:00 P.M., a Drumheller resident was sexually assaulted by an unknown male suspect in his own home.

The unknown male suspect knocked on the male victim’s door and asked to use the phone. When the victim opened the door the suspect forced his way into the victim’s apartment and sexually assaulted him. The victim received minor injuries but was not transported to hospital.The suspect was described as follows:approximately 5’10” (178 cam) tall;wore blue jeans with a green sweater and a light blue baseball cap;  suspect also wore a black balaclava to cover his face. Investigation has revealed that the same suspect had knocked on other apartment doors in the same area and had asked to use the phone. This occurred during the days leading up to this assault.  None of the persons at those apartments were assaulted.  The RCMP urges the public to verify the identity of any strangers before opening the door of their home to someone they do not know.
