Red Rose campaign on the street

Red rose

November is Family Violence Prevention Month in Alberta and the Big Country Anti-Violence Association (BCAVA) and volunteers marked the occasion with the annual Red Rose Campaign. On Tuesday afternoon, they hit the street delivering roses to businesses in the area to raise awareness of domestic violence. Once again, the campaign was supported sponsors Home-Town Realty  who donated $400 to purchase the roses. Tina Mraz of Home-Town Realty, left, presents the cheque to Candace Toews, vice president of BCAVA.
