Emergency services responds to tanker rollover

tanker rollover

Drumheller RCMP, AHS Ambulance and the Drumheller, Morrin and Rumsey Fire departments responded to a tanker truck rollover at shortly after 2 p.m. on Highway 56, Thursday afternoon, September 24.

It appears that a semi truck, carrying two tanks of light crude left the road just north of the Rowley turnoff, and rolled.

The driver was taken to the Drumheller Health Centre, the extent of injuries is unknown. It appears there was leakage, however the extent was not immediately apparent.
Equipment to the oil and equipment was enroute to the scene at about 4 p.m., and traffic was being rerouted.
