The Calgary AdrenalineU16 softball team had a small setback in play over the weekend, but bounced back to regain their winning ways.
Batting powerhouse Brayden Peters of Drumheller is a member of the team, which were sporting an eight game winning streak gong into a Girls Prairie League Softball event in Saskatchewan last Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the team fell short versus the Lloydminster Blues, 9-5. The streak continued and they lost to the Lloydminster Rebels who won 7-6. Prince Albert was strong in the final game of the day, wining 6-1.
Despite this, the team showed resolve and Sunday morning grounded the River City Hornets of Edmonton 9-7 and then stood tall versus the Prince Albert Aces, winning 11-4.
The Adrenaline finished the weekend with a season record 25-10-1. This Wednesday, they play a double header versus Kaizen 99 at Shoudice Park.
