Titans shut out McCoy in home opener

The  Senior Titans had no trouble in their home opener, knocking off the McCoy Colts from Medicine Hat/ Eagle Butte.

The Colts came to play under Friday Night Lights for the Titans home and season kick off.

The Titans’ defensive focus was key to the game playing back to front. McCoy were big and strong as expected, but Drumheller managed to keep the off the scoreboard.

Touchdowns by Aiden Enns and Noah Miles had the Titans leading 13-0 late in the third quarter. Rhett Duggan forces a safety early late in the third to go up 15-0. In the fourth, Enns carried in his second touchdown of the game.  Defense forced another safety before Mitch Ostergard carried in another as time ticked down and the Titans won 29-0.

This is only the beginning of the football action this weekend as the Drumheller Peewee Terrapins take to the field for their first of the season Saturday morning at 11 a.m. They are followed by the Bantam Titans at 1 p.m.
