Street repairs from flood damage scheduled

The Town of Drumheller has released a list of flood related street and road repairs for this year.
As part of the Town’s 2014 Street Improvement Program, areas that were damaged during the June 2013 flood will be seeing summer work.
South of Highway 838, the Midland pathway and 16th Street are getting concrete and asphault repairs.
Newcastle Road is slated for work in the cul-de-sac and on Riverside Avenue, from 1 Avenue to 2 Avenue.
Railway Avenue in Rosedale from first avenue to Mabbot Road (1 Street E) gets a paving overlay, as well as some concrete repairs, and overlay is scheduled fro Aerial Cres. and Mabbot Road.
The overlay extends the life of the road and helps prevent further moisture from seeping in.
Two Lehiegh entrances are also slated for work.
Brooks Asphalt and Aggregate Ltd. was awarded the Town contract for this year’s work.
Director of Infrastructure Services for the Town, Allan Kendrick said the Town will soon meet with the contractor  to set the street and road work schedule for this year.
