DONAIS
Nonie (Phyllis) Delenor

1937 - 2022

We regretfully announce the passing of Mom, Granny and Great Granny, Nonie (Phyllis) Delenor Donais of Drumheller on March 7, 2022, at the age of 84.
Mom faced several medical challenges over the past few years, especially these past several months. Mom was
surrounded by her large family and passed away peacefully in her home.
Our mother, Nonie, was the strongest, most courageous, loving, kindest woman to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of our family.
Mom truly loved each and every one of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her loving way.
Nonie was born in 1937 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, then moved to Drumheller in 1954 to stay with her Uncle Stan and Aunty Della. Shortly after moving to Drumheller, she met the love of her life, Eugene. They were married April 14, 1956, moved to Midland and started a family. They raised 7 children plus many others along the way.
Mom worked most of her life while raising her children at the Drumheller Hospital in the kitchen until 1970. Mom then went on to raise her family and provide support to Eugene taking care of the family business and their home in Verdant Valley. Upon retirement Mom and Dad moved back to Midland in 1999.
Nonie and Gene spent many years camping and fishing together, having their large family come home to spend holidays with them at the farm, plus getting together with their many friends along the way.
Nonie leaves to mourn, her loving husband of 65 years Eugene Donais; her children, Kim (Sheila); Leslie; Dale; Stan (Sharon); Anna-Marie (Craig); Miles; Sandra (Dan); Keith (Kimberly). Grandchildren Rhianna (Mike); Bryan; Jamie (Alastair); Nelson (Diana), Eugene, Natalie (Phil); Trista; Trinity (Justin); Chris (Melissa); Nick (Sagan); Amanda (Shem); Alannah-Miles (Andrew); Ashlee (Alex); Bryce (Courtney); Alexandra. Great-grandchildren Charlie, Samuel, Zander, Izzy, Davin, Brooklyn, Matteo, Reese, Jada, Mikal, Ashtin. Her sister June of Saskatoon, SK; numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Nonie was predeceased by her son Rick, daughter-in-law Bev and granddaughter Kala. Also predeceased by father Buel, mother Phyllis, brothers Hubert, Bill, Herb and Keith and sister Sandra.
At Nonie’s request there will be no funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to either the Alberta Children’s Hospital or Stars Air Ambulance, organizations close to Nonie’s heart.

COUSINS
Kenneth (Kenny) Alan

November 20, 1960 - March 3, 2022

It is with great sadness we express that Kenny has lost his long, hard battle to cancer.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife Karla Cousins, daughters Kimberley Payne & Brandi Joyal, son Casey Cousins, grandson Danny Payne, sisters Diana Garred, Linda Freeman (Wally) & Kathy Lowe (Don), 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 4 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
Kenny is predeceased by his Dad Alan Cousins, Mom Fan Cousins, and daughter Britni Joyal.
Kenny has always worked in the field of oil and gas and considered Atco to be his second family. Kenny’s contribution to the Village of Carbon has not gone unnoticed, from curling club, volunteer firefighting and coaching soccer, to helping someone with their furnace.
Kenny had integrity, loyalty, and a kindness to help anyone in need. His support and help were offered at the drop of a hat. Kenny was well loved by anyone who had the honour and privilege of knowing him. The people who have been touched by Kenny will miss him dearly.
We have encountered so many wonderful people during this journey over the past 18 months.
Special thanks and love to Dr. Pabani (And Lexi for your support and answering my countless calls) at the Tom Baker Centre (and all the amazing staff). To Wendy and Dr. Brock Randolph at the Drumheller Cancer Centre and to the amazing staff at the Acute Care Department at the Drumheller Hospital. We would not have been able to travel this 18-month journey without all your love and support.
In Kenny’s honour, memorial donations may be made to Strathmore Lions Club or Tom Baker Health Centre: Oncology Unit.
A family Memorial will be held at a later date.
