Kinsmen supports DCHS Basketball trip

The senior girls basketball team helped the Kinsmen Club serve up their annual Canada Day Pancake Breakfast at Riverside Value Drug Mart. The team is busy raising funds for a trip to Hawaii.

U18s take silver at provincials

u18.gifAfter travelling an undefeated road into Stettler for provincials this past weekend, the Drumheller U18 soccer team took home silver after competing with Alberta’s best.
Despite placing ninth last year, the team met their goal to advance to the gold medal final on Sunday, July 5 where they lost 4-1 against a strong squad from Medicine Hat.

Rage earn fourth spot at provincials

soccer.jpgThe U16 Rage girls soccer team finished second in their pool, just behind the eventual champions at their first ever appearance at the provincial tournament.
    The U16s have had a stellar season and won the zone championship. This qualified them for the provincial tournament in Beaumont over last weekend.
    The team had a stellar performance and finished in fourth place in the province.
    “I was very happy with their play,” says coach Dave Rogers.
    The Rage started the tournament against a team from Lakeland. Maddie Davies found the net as the Rage went on to a 1-nil win.
