Condolences to the family of Cyril Leonard (Bud) Nelson

Born December 12, 1916 at Carsland, AB
Passed June 14, 2019 at the age of 102

Bud has a family of 4 children; Anna (Rick) Sharpe of Drumheller; Ed (Pat) Nelson of Langley, BC; Greg (Christine) Nelson of Prince George, BC; Margy (Donny) Kober of Trochu, AB. Next came 13 grandchildren with 10 spouses, Robbie Develeriola is deceased, then 25 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud was predeceased by his wife, Margaret, on June 2, 2002; brother Lowell and Lizzie and sister Ida and Sanford Sydness, still survived by Bill and Yvonne, Jim and Maureen.
A memorial service to be held Thursday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trochu Community Hall. Kneehill Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Lodge in Trochu, Box 100, 451 DeChauney Ave., Trochu, AB T0M 2C0

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Lin Greaves of Drumheller, AB on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the age of 42 years. Trish touched the hearts of everyone she met. She faced many obstacles in her life and handled them with resilience, hope, and bravery. Her strength, love and laughter will forever be part of our lives. Trish is survived by her loving children Griffin and Avery, mother Piera, father Gary, brother Michael (Michelle), niece Peyton and nephew Carter. Trish is also survived by both Grandmas, Livia Morello, Emmaline Greaves and the many aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends who supported Trish throughout her journey. Trish was predeceased by both Grandpas, Dominic Morello and Eric Greaves. Trish loved nothing more than spending time with her children, always cherishing the small things in life. Auntie Trish could always bring a smile to her niece and nephew, even during her struggles with her disease.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Midland Hall (113 1st Avenue NW) in Drumheller, AB on Thursday, June 13, at 1:00 p.m.

Condolences to the family of Pat Dalton

Pat Dalton was born May 29, 1937, to Stephen and Reta Schaffer. Pat and her brother, Jack, attended school at the cottages in Newcastle and then on to Drumheller for high school.
After her graduation, the family moved to Calgary where Pat worked at Imperial Oil. While in Calgary she met and married Earl and they moved to Victoria, where their daughter, Lynn, was born.
In 1968, Pat and Lynn returned to Calgary where she trained as a secretary but ultimately found her career as a school librarian, which she loved, and worked at for 22 years until retirement.
Pat had a keen interest in sewing and after taking a night course at SAIT sewed many of her own clothes. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans for family.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Lynn; her sister-in-law, Kathy, nephew Don and family; niece Leona and family; an aunt and uncle; and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Reta, and her brother Jack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “Recreation Therapy” at the Drumheller Area Health
Foundation, 351 9th Street N.W., Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y1.
As per Pat’s wishes there will be no public memorial service.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers and the Drumheller Health Centre for the compassionate care that Pat received during her stay with them.
