Donna Noreen (Dow) Halliday, age 72 of Drumheller, Alberta passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 15, 2019 in Lacombe, Alberta.
Donna fought a long and courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer. She lived life to the fullest alongside her family and friends while fighting with such strength, determination and positivity that she lived nearly 3 years after her initial diagnosis.
Donna was born December 19, 1946 in High River, Alberta to Donovan & Elsie Dow. Donna spent her childhood years being raised in Claresholm, Alberta and then moved on to pursue her post-secondary education where she earned her Nursing Aid Certification.
On June 18, 1966 Donna married James (Jim) Halliday and they resided in Drumheller, Alberta where they raised their three children.
Donna’s greatest passions in life were her children and grandchildren; Son, James (Jamie) and his wife Tara; grandsons Liam and Lachlan. Daughter, Shauna and her husband Lorne; grandson Devon and granddaughters Kaileigh and Mckinley. Daughter, Jody and her husband Dan; granddaughters Micaela and Abby. Donna will be fondly remembered by her bothers Wayne and Ronnie Dow and their families. Donna’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her family.
Donna was a very social person who spent countless hours volunteering at the Sunshine Lodge and Pioneer Trail Senior Centre. She enjoyed spending time with friends, attending local events, playing bingo, cards and ……many more cards.
Donna was predeceased by her Parents, Donovan & Elsie Dow and her Husband, James (Jim).
Donna will be dearly missed by all family and friends that were blessed to be a special part of her life. She had a zest for life like none other, she lived life to its fullest with a little spark of spunk, personality and humour.
A Celebration of Life to remember Donna was held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Newcastle Community Hall from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

September 19, 1932 - July 20, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. Ev was born in Nanaimo, B.C. where she spent her entire life until she went to New Westminster to work at the Woodlands School and later as a Telephone Operator in Vancouver. She married the love of her life Lawrence (LT) Pratt in October 1957. They had four children, Earl (Karen), Logan and Laura. Laurie (Jack), Shawn and Tiffany (Don), great granddaughters Nevelle and Catalina, Brenda, Al (Synthia), Tara, great granddaughter Harlynn, Tammy (Tyler) great granddaughters, Rihanna, Ava, Jae-Lynn. She is also survived by her cousin Doreen and her faithful fuzzy companion Cricket.
Ev enjoyed spending time at the casino with her friends and camping with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ev was predeceased by her husband Lawrence and son in law Terry Riggs. To honour Ev’s wishes the family will be holding a private graveside service Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Morrin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Morrin Lion’s Club, Box 231, Morrin, Alberta, T0J 2B0 or the Drumheller Area Health Foundation, 351-9th Street N.W., Drumheller, Alberta, T0J 0Y1.

Sarah is survived by her husband Christopher Steblyk of Beaumont; Robert and Katherine Steblyk of Ponoka; Adam and Jessica Haisinger of Toronto; Mother Barbaraine Kaye of Hand Hills; Father John MacIsaac of Hand Hills; Brother Nolan Kaye (Shasta Vandervies) of Hanna; Nephew John Kaye of Hanna; Niece Zoe Kaye of Hanna; Sister Rosie Kaye (Travis Binks) of Hanna; and Sister Gracie Kaye (Dwayne Starcevik) of Hanna. Sarah was predeceased by her Grandfather Alexander MacIsaac; Grandmother Sally MacIsaac; and Great Uncle D.A MacIsaac. Sarah will be missed greatly by countless aunties, uncles, cousins, friends, and her wonderful team at the emergency room department of the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton. A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home.
