BRACKLEY
Mary Lynn

January 4, 1952 - October 12, 2019

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Mary Lynn Brackley loving mother of two children passed away in St. Albert, Alberta at the age of 67.
Mary Lynn was born January 4, 1952 in Drumheller, Alberta to Winston and Jennie DeMille. In 1972 she met and married her husband David Henry Brackley in Lethbridge, AB. They raised two sons Colin and Todd.
Mary Lynn had a passion for all sports. She bragged about Carter her eldest grandson on winning the Provincial title for basketball, and her love of the Blue Jays and Raptors goes without saying; cheered both on in the best and worst of years and we can still picture her yelling at the TV as if the players could hear her. She was an avid music lover, one of her joys to listen to was her Elvis music and other old time Rock and Roll and Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison on those early Sunday mornings to wake us kids up whether we liked it or not. I don’t think she missed out on a concert that came to town; from Carrie Underwood to George Strait one of her favorites! She would never miss one of her grandkid’s hockey games no matter the weather, it might have been the fries and gravy of which was her favorite. She was known for her quick wit and her passion for her kids and of course grandkids.
Mary Lynn was predeceased in death by her husband, David, her father, Winston, and her mother, Jennie. She is survived by her two children, Colin and Todd, her five grandchildren, Carter, Mason, Mackenzie, Ryllan and Mollie, and several cousins, her three brothers; Randy, Daryl, Kevin and their spouses, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Mary Lynn will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morrin Community Hall, Morrin, Alberta. The family invites everyone to stay for a time of fellowship and light refreshment following the service.
If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
