New Fire Chief for Drumheller

Long-serving Deputy Chief Bruce Wade becomes Drumheller's new Fire Chief December 1, 2014.

 

Bruce Wade has been hired as the new Fire Chief for the Town of Drumheller.
    The Town issued a press release Tuesday afternoon to announce the hiring of Wade.
    Wade begins his new duties with the Town on December 1, 2014, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Fire Chief Bill Bachynski.
    Wade has been a member of the Drumheller Fire Department since 1979, where he has  served as Deputy Chief for several years under present Fire Chief Bill Bachynski.
    The Town said as the new Fire Chief, Bruce’s years of experience are valuable to planning and directing the overall operations of the fire halls.
    They add he brings a wide range of skills and knowledge to the delivery of fire and rescue services throughout the valley.
    Wade has lived in Drumheller for most of his life and has worked in his family business for nearly forty years.
    “Bruce’s years of experience will serve the citizens and Town well as we continue to deliver a high caliber of fire and rescue services.” said the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer Ray Romanetz.

Retiring Fire Chief Bill Bachynski has contributed 41 years of service to the community with the Drumheller Fire Department,with 20 of those years serving as Chief.
