Who are you? Patrice Wolf

Occupation:  Owner of the Heartwood Inn & Spa.
What do you like about your job? Working with people.  It is not a job, it’s a lifestyle, every day is different and people are on vacation, and are in a good mood.
How long  have you been in Drumheller? I have lived in the Valley since 1997.
Where are you originally from?  Calgary, born and raised.
What did you do last night? I was working on emails and a winter marketing campaign until 10 p.m..
Have you had your 15 minutes of fame yet? No, this will be when I cut the ribbon to open the world class skateboard park, this is the legacy I want to leave Drumheller.
What’s your favorite time of day? In the morning, if I am still sleeping.
When and where was your best vacation? In the Heartwood’s honeymoon cottage during the “be a tourist in your own town” week.
What was the last event you dressed up for? Halloween.
Who is your role model? Deepak Chopra.
Do you have any pets? What are their names? Yes, cats, how many and their names have to be kept secret as I don’t need a visit from bylaw. I have to mention Garfield though, the neighborhood cat that we love and shows up at the Heartwood everyday.
What’s the last impulse buy you made? I bought 2 identical really expensive steam cleaners at the Calgary Stampede, which I hate and will probably never use, so if anyone wants one, give me a shout.
What was the last film you saw? 2012, great special effects, but don’t go if you are expecting to see anything of great literary significance.
What’s the funniest thing you’ve heard today? A joke about Tiger Wood on Twitter.

Favourite thing about your job? The challenges and the variety. Every project is different.
Movie you never get tired of? The Bourne Identity. I like action movies cause they embody escapism and adventure.
Who would you like to have dinner with alive or not? My grandparents that are alive and passed away to catch up on all that’s happened and see where they are.
Favourite food:  Clam Fettucini because it was one of the first big meals that I made with my fiance so it has good memories attached to it.
Favourite book: The Wars by Timothy Findley. I liked the questionable and controversial topics discussed in it.
What’s on your iPod?  A little bit of everything and lots of indie music like Feist, Stars and the Shins.
Three people or things you couldn’t live without
Family, friends and new discoveries.
Favourite drink: Black coffee. I didn’t like coffee until I was a student at ACAD in Calgary.
What would you do with unlimited money? Travel the world and experience as many different countries and cultures as possible and see things beyond my own locality.
If you were a crayon what colour would you be? A warm or smoky grey. Something mellow, calm and unoffensive.

How long have you been in Drumheller? I have lived in Drumheller for a few years now.
Where are you from originally? I am from Calgary originally
What do you like about your job? I like to meet new people.
Are you involved in the community? I am involved with kids at the Drumheller Alliance church.
If stranded on an island, what tool would you want most? I would bring my iPod.
What’s on your iPod? All sorts! Everything from pop, techno, old disco and folk to jazz
Favourite Movie? I like all kinds of movies but my favourites are documentaries.
What are you reading right now? Spiritual Warfare in a Believers Life by Charles Spurgeon.
Who’d you like to have dinner with, dead or alive? Matt Good.
Words that you live by? Carpe Diem “Seize the day”
If you had a time machine, where would you go? I would go 1000 years in the future where I would hopefully see peace on Earth.
