While we are literally only days into summer, Dragons fans can start looking forward to the 2018-2019 AJHL season.

The league has released the coming season’s schedule. This will be the 55th consecutive season for the league and it all starts August 19 where teams will be playing a 50 game preseason.

The Dragons will get a taste of preseason action in a tournament in Camrose, August 29-31, taking on Sherwood Park,  Fort McMurray, and Drayton Valley.

On September 5 the Dragons host an interleague game versus the Kindersley Klippers of the  SJHL.

Opening night for the Drumheller Dragons is Friday, September 14 when the team hosts the Brooks Bandits.

September will conclude with the 12th Annual AJHL Showcase in Camrose, Alberta from September 27– 29.

In February 2019, the AJHL will celebrate Family Day with seven games scheduled for Monday, February 18th.  Host teams will provide great family day entertainment, post-game skates, special in-game promotions and pre-game activities.

The 2019 Inter Pipeline AJHL Playoffs will open on Thursday, March 7th, 2019.   The top team in each division will receive a first-round bye. The Viterra AJHL South Division and Viterra AJHL North Division will playoff to determine a divisional champion at the conclusion of Round Three.  The North Division Champion and the South Division Champion will then compete in the Inter Pipeline Cup Final.
