The family of Shirley Anne Herzog are saddened to announce her passing June 3, 2025 at Age Care Home in Calgary.
Shirley was born September 14, 1933 in Drumheller, AB. The youngest of seven children to Pauline and William Herzog of Delia, AB.
Shirley took her early schooling at rural Majestic School then went on to high school in Drumheller.
Calgary beckoned where she went to Business College then started work at Royal Bank, moved to Canadian Oil, then on to Shell Oil where she was secretary to one of the top executives and retired after 36 years.
Shirley became a world traveler and had a love of the arts, theater, and music.
She belonged to several hiking groups, enjoyed playing bridge, and liked attending movies with red licorice in hand. She doted on her two miniature poodles Misty and Peaches.
Shirley was very knowledgeable and interested in World affairs. Family was of utmost importance, and she was very kind and caring to many older friends and will be missed by all.
Celebration of life will be held in Delia, AB at the Senior Centre on Saturday, August 23 at 11 a.m. with lunch, reminiscing, sharing memories and stories. Internment after in Delia cemetary.
