It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Len at Drumheller hospital on March 22, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Len was born and raised in Edmonton. Graduate HS at Bonnie Doon. Len ventured out of Edmonton, and worked with the Alberta Transportation Highways Department in Drumheller. Len worked at E.O. Parrys and Sharp’s Pontiac Buick. During this time, Len received his Automotive Mechanic licence at SAIT. From there, he worked at PLRD as a bus mechanic for 35 years. Retired July 31, 2022.
Len enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His door was always open for people to come and visit. Len was a kind, loving man with a big heart. He had a great sense of humour. Len had a contagious laugh and always had a quirky remark to make people laugh. He always let people know what was on his mind, whether you liked it or not.
Forever remembered by his wife Janet of 47 years, his son Randy and his Daughter Terena and a special Granddaughter Josalyn (Noisy).
Len leaves behind his siblings John (Gwen) Kleinschroth, Barb McIntosh, Donna (Jim) Duke, Arlene (Charlie) Letkeman, Brian Kleinschroth, brother-in-law Ted Avramenko, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mom and dad, John and Sylvia Kleinschroth, mother and father-in-law, Austin and Dora Lewis and a sister-in-law Geri Avramenko.
As per Len’’s request, there will be no celebration of life. A family get-together will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of acute care at the Drumheller Hospital for the compassionate care given to Len.
in lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Stars or a charity of your choice in memory of Len.
