Raymond Gray
August 3, 1940 - April 22, 2022
Born in Drumheller and spent many of his 81 years here, in addition to Calgary, Bottrel, Winnipeg and Abbotsford. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Phyllis (2003), active in Kiwanis and the Abbotsford Food Bank as volunteers. Ray leaves behind sister Rena Lucas, brother Bill Ford, son Warren Ford (Doris) as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a firefighter with the City of Calgary for 12 years before going into business running the Bottrel General Store and campground. He and Phyllis helped with the harvest each year, loved to dance and travel and enjoyed spending time with family. Ray spent his final years at Drumheller Hospital in Continuing Care. The staff loved him, took very good care of him; and for that we are so grateful. Ray’s cremains will be interred in the Drumheller Cemetery with his Mother, Rose Ann Ford, on his birthday (August 3) 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
