It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Emma Milne announce her peaceful passing at Cedar’s Villa Extendicare in Calgary on October 16, 2019 at the age of 98 years. Anne was born Anna Mary Emma Calon, the second of twins, on August 15, 1921 at Verdant Valley near Michichi, Alberta. She married Donald Edward Milne at St. Mary’s Rectory in Calgary on December 28, 1950. Anne is survived by her two sons, Ken Milne (Denise Graven) and Glenn Milne (Nora); her grandchildren, Robin Graven-Milne, David Graven-Milne, Conor O’Keefe (Chrissy); and her great grandchildren May and Nora, with another on the way. Anne was predeceased, far too soon in 1970, by her husband Don. She is also predeceased by her parents Edward and Celestine (nee’ Cramer); as well as her eight siblings, George, Maryanne, Joseph, twin sister Celestine, Edward, Charles, Frank and Paul. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 34 Street SW) on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in Holy Name’s Parish Hall.
