PatDalton

DALTON
Pat

Pat Dalton was born May 29, 1937, to Stephen and Reta Schaffer. Pat and her brother, Jack, attended school at the cottages in Newcastle and then on to Drumheller for high school.
After her graduation, the family moved to Calgary where Pat worked at Imperial Oil. While in Calgary she met and married Earl and they moved to Victoria, where their daughter, Lynn, was born.
In 1968, Pat and Lynn returned to Calgary where she trained as a secretary but ultimately found her career as a school librarian, which she loved, and worked at for 22 years until retirement.
Pat had a keen interest in sewing and after taking a night course at SAIT sewed many of her own clothes. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans for family.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Lynn; her sister-in-law, Kathy, nephew Don and family; niece Leona and family; an aunt and uncle; and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Reta, and her brother Jack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “Recreation Therapy” at the Drumheller Area Health
Foundation, 351 9th Street N.W., Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y1.
As per Pat’s wishes there will be no public memorial service.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers and the Drumheller Health Centre for the compassionate care that Pat received during her stay with them.
Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
