Winifred “Winnie” Rowe of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the age of 92 years. Winnie’s  first job was at the CIBC in Drumheller, after that she worked for the Alberta Government right up until she retired. Winnie had a passion for darts and golf and could play a mean game of crib. She stayed very active right up until her passing; occupying her time playing cards with her friends and participating in crib tournaments both in the city and the surrounding areas. Winnie was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her friends and family were very important to her and she maintained consistent contact with each and every one of them. Winnie is survived by her children, Barbara, David and Darlene, and Ken and Carrie; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua, Stephanie, Dillon, Jessie, Kayden, and Janessa; and great-grandchild Aubreigh; and her sisters-in-law Marion, Edith, and Enid and Bill. She was predeceased by her husband Archie Rowe; son Brian Meyers; and by her brothers, William Stainton, John Stainton, and Bob Stainton. As per Winnie’s wishes no formal services will be held.
