JORGENSEN
Lorraine

January 10, 1942 - October 9, 2018

Lorraine Degerness Jorgensen, beloved wife of Arnold Jorgensen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Calgary Foothills Hospital at the age of 76. Loving and missing her today are her husband Arnold, daughters and sons-in-law Shelly Osburne (Barry); Shannon Sambell (Lance); Sheryl Partington (Brian); Patricia (Patty) Baron (Henry). Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren Cody Hansen (Christine, Cole, Cohen); Crystal Janzen (Wendell, Evan, Colby); Amber Labelle (Chris); Justin Osburne (Nicole, Bradley); April Partington; Sarah Maunder (Darrell, Emmit, Aiden); Derek Osburne (Jackson, Landon); as well as many extended family and friends. Lorraine was born January 10, 1942 to parents Thomas Earl and Eleanor Murray and raised in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan along with her big brother Gary. She worked in Winnipeg and in Melfort as a health care aide where she met and married Harry Degerness. Together they had four daughters, Shelly, Shannon, Sheryl, and Patty and called Delia ‘home’. In 1986, Harry passed away and Lorraine went to work in Drumheller. She later met and married Arnold Jorgensen and our family grew by five (Lori, Gordon, Barry, Pat and Randy). Together they worked hard, danced beautifully, crafted, camped, travelled and created 30 years of treasured memories with many family and friends. Lorraine will be remembered for her compassion, candor, tenacity, sincerity and nurturing. Her love of family and friends, her strong faith and her willingness to be of service to others made her a very special lady.

To her daughters she would say, “I am not perfect”.
and as true as that may be, we do know.
“She was perfect for us”.

We would like to thank those who assisted Lorraine these past few months for their loving kindness. All was truly appreciated by Mom and Arnold and family. At Lorraine’s request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army Building Fund, P.O. Box 3097, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y0.
