It is with great sadness the family of Melvin announces his sudden passing Saturday, July 7, 2018. Mel was born April 18, 1960 in Drumheller, he was the youngest child of Robert & Nora Cragg. Raised in the Munson area, later moving to Drumheller, where he attended school, while in High School, he was very involved in Drama, Theatre, acting in many plays, he really enjoyed this. After graduation he went to Edmonton for schooling to become a tailor. He worked many years at Bill Cross Men’s Wear as a tailor and selling clothing. In 2001 he purchased the store and ran it along with his wife Maureen until 2016. Mel leaves to mourn his loving wife of 40 years, Maureen (nee Moar) and their “only child” lovingly called Willow. He is also survived by his sister Carol (Tom) Hampton, their children and families, mother-in-law Alice Moar, brother-in-law John (Wanda) and their family. Mel was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, father-in-law and brother-in-law. Family members will remember his love of giving flowers. Mel was very generous and loving and he will be greatly missed. A private family service will be held at a later date, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones’ choice. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
