Paul Joseph Calon of Drumheller, Alberta beloved husband of Barbara, passed away on February 17th, 2018 at the age of 84 years. He was born to Celestine and Edward Calon on September 23, 1933. He was the youngest of 9 children. Paul took his schooling at Gartley and Livingston. To him, farming was a labour of love. He loved family and had a wonderful sense of humour. His hobbies were photography and listening to classical music. He loved and took delight in spring crocuses and wildlife in the coulee. He was a member of many organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, Verdant Valley Home and School Association, Verdant Valley Ag Society and the Starland County Service Board. He loved attending Provincial Service Board Tours. Paul was a dedicated volunteer. He was a mainstay at the Passion Play, helping with the construction of structures and during show seasons, helping to park tour buses, never missing a show year after year. Besides his wife, Barbara, Paul is survived by his children Christine (Bill) Pickering, Tim (Kelsey) Calon, Lisa Lovsin; and 6 grandchildren, Willy Pickering, Charli, Andi and Paige Calon, and Kate and Erica Lovsin.
