Susanne Ing, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on February 9, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Susanne was born in Calgary at the General Hospital and shortly after her birth, her family moved to Drumheller to operate a postal outlet in the hamlet of Newcastle. She spent her life in the Drumheller area where she met her husband Russel, and they were married July 4, 1958. Due to shortage of work, they moved to Calgary in 1965 and resided in the same home until 2013. She took great pride in dedicating her life to her family. Due to her failing health, she was placed in long term care until her passing. Susanne is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Ed) Van De Ryse and Beverly Ing (Steen Korsgaard); grandchildren, Edward and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Lisa, Kayla and Kelsey; brother, James Charleston; life long friend, Marion Charleston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Susanne was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Russel Ing in 1995; her brother, Tommy; and her parents, William and Susan. As per Susanne’s wishes, no services will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through www. mcinnisandholloway.com. In Susanne’s memory, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice. In living memory of Susanne Ing, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB Telephone: 403-248-8585.
