Art lost his 12 year battle with kidney disease November 24, 2017, four days after his 76th birthday. You fought the good fight hon. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Heather, One son Steven,a daughter Kimberley (Kevin), two brothers, Jim (Alberta), Ralph (Sheryn), two sisters, Pearl and Mary Lou. He had four grandchildren, Rebecca-Joye (Nick), Krystal (Nat), Ashlee and Tyler. He had two great-grandchildren, Myla-Anne and Elli Grace. He was predeceased by his parents, Alma and Frank, in-laws Beverly and Carl Swainston, two brothers-in-law, Rod Allen and Don Swainston, a sister Maxine, a nephew John and a niece Laura. Art spent most of his working life in Calgary as a journeyman painter. He worked for Cavalier Bumper and Calgary Powder Coating, moving back to Delia in 1999. He worked for Gladish and Crowle Construction and Starland M.D. until he became too ill. At Art’s request there will be no service.
