FRANCIOTTI
Heather Ann

November 21, 1960 – November 11, 2017

Heather Ann Franciotti passed away peacefully on November 11, 2017 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Heather will be sadly missed by her three equally loved children – Jennifer Andrew (Matthew), Joelle McLellan, Dakota Franciotti, her three beautiful grandchildren – Ella, Easton, and Ailsa, her loving partner Barry Pozzo, Sister Nicole (Mike) Stol, Brothers Chuck (Anita) and Mac Von, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother Ann, father Charles, and nephew Derek. Heather was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada at the age of 9. She grew up in Calgary, Alberta and later settled in Drumheller where she had her family and thrived on being the social butterfly of the community. She worked for numerous businesses in customer relations and when she could no longer work due to her illness, she continued to spread her vibrant smile and love for people by volunteering in the community and participating in clubs and activities. She could be found taking tickets at the Drumheller Dragons games, swimming with the morning mermaids and dangling with her friends in the evening at the pool, dressing up with the Crown Jewels, leading the charge with seniors walking club and gallivanting to the shops everyday on her circuit around town. Her home was always open to everyone who needed a place to land. Those who needed a bite to eat were always invited to “Sunday Night Suppers”; however, there was always a “Moms Rule” where you knew there would be a job to be done and it was never little. She was always known for her flamboyant style and personality and there was always room to be more accessorized. She appointed herself as “Glamma Diva” because she was always too young, glamorous and fabulous to be called Grandma! A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Midlandvale Community Hall at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Drumheller Salvation Army or S.T.A.R.S. Feel free to come dressed up in your best HEATHER style. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
