Recently, our federal government has brought forward new legislation regarding Internet safety. Despite being very outspoken on the question of crime, Prime Minister Stephen Harper seems far from eager to discuss the legislation he’s promised to pass within 100 days of taking office — legislation that will allow online spying of Canadian citizens without a warrant.
Drumheller Fire Department, the Rosedale Hall, Dalum Fire Department, RCMP and Badlands EMS responded Friday, March 9 shortly after 1 p.m. to a fire five kilometres south of Rosedale on Highway 56. The site of the fire was a farmstead, and burning grasses surrounding the buildings were controlled by firefighters. There doesn’t appear to be any injuries. The extent of the damage is not immediately known.
