The graduating class of Drumheller Composite High School searched far and wide for recyclable bottles and cans during their annual bottle drive on Saturday afternoon. The drive is one of many fundraising initiatives the grads undertake to pay for the graduating ceremony and other expenses. It appears drivers on Highway 9 heading west of Drumheller will have another year to become even more familiar with the bone rattling stretch of road crossing Highway 21.
As a global downturn in markets continue, the Drumheller and District Recycling Association is taking action, facing some of the lowest prices for recycled material ever.
