Chamber general meeting set for March 24

The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their Annual General Meeting on Thursday, March 24 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Ramada Inn.     At the meeting, the chamber will go over their audited financial statements and committee reports, and elect applicants to the board of directors. There are four three-year positions and one one-year position available.  Organizers of the Mining Centennial will make a presentation at the beginning of the meeting.
“If anyone is interested in letting their name stand and they cannot attend, they can fill out a form saying they’re interested,” said chamber general manager Kathy Little, but suggested those who can make the meeting do so. Board hopefuls can contact the chamber for more information.
Little says any of the 290 chamber members would benefit from attending, and must RSVP to the meeting by March 18.
“It’s a good chance to hear what the plans are for the upcoming Mining Centennial, to hear what the chamber is getting involved in for the next year,” said Little. “It’s important to hear, because it gives a chance to be able to hear what the chamber is doing with the money.”
