Drumheller RCMP arrest three persons during traffic stop

On July 25, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Drumheller officers on patrol encountered a gold Ford F350 pickup truck on Highway 10 near East Coulee driving at inconsistent speeds. A traffic stop was initiated to check on the driver’s sobriety and to investigate.
The driver, a 46-year-old resident of Strathmore, was found to be sober but was arrested for an outstanding traffic warrant. A second passenger, a 30-year-old female resident of Drumheller, was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was also arrested. A third passenger, a 44-year-old female of Strathmore, was found to be in possession of multiple forged documents including identification cards, social insurance cards, and driver’s licenses; she too was arrested.
The 30-year-old female from Drumheller was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released from custody; she is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on Sept 27, 2024, to answer to the charges.
The 44-year-old female from Strathmore, was charged with possession of forged documents and released from custody; she is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on Sept 13, 2024, to answer to the charges.
The 46-year-old driver from Strathmore remains in custody in relation to the warrant.
Staff Sergeant Robert HARMS of Drumheller RCMP stated “This is one of many examples of Drumheller RCMP officers intercepting and holding offenders accountable through proactive and vigilant patrols in and near the Drumheller Valley.”
