Crews are replacing a steel forcemain servicing the community of Nacmine, with a portion of the work being completed in the Newcastle area. UG Excavating was previously awarded the tender for $1,207,461.68 during the Monday, May 2 regular council meeting to reroute a portion of the forcemain and install air release valves and odour control units to mitigate odours in residential areas along this line.
