The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) donated $2,900 to The Salvation Army from funds raised through their annual community ladies’ Bring and Buy on December 4. They donated at the Drumheller Walmart on National Fill the Kettle Day, December 2. On this day donations made at Walmart will be matched by Walmart nationwide for up to $100,000. At the presentation are (back; l-r) volunteer, Kaleena Reed, Salvation Army Family Services coordinator Amanda Courtenay, volunteer Shailene Jeffery, volunteer Carissa Campbell, Drumheller Walmart Store Manager Rob Bjorndalen and Merchandise Manager Thomas Laffin, with (front; l-r) Joanne Dumaine of the CWL, Salvation Army Captain Isobel Lippers and Charlene Vescarelli of the CWL. The CWL also donated $700 to Big Country Victim Services and $400 to the Drumheller Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, with funds from the Bring and Buy.
