RCMP arrest three for property offenses

Drumheller RCMP have made arrests stemming from investigations into multiple incidents of damage and theft from oil sites and wind turbines in the rural area.
On June 6, 2019, at approximately 2 a.m. Drumheller RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter in progress at the ATCO energy east compound near Carbon Alberta.
With the assistance of the Airdrie RCMP Police dog services, a male was located in possession of a large quantity of Copper Wire and was arrested.
 Brian Douglas McHugh, 49, of Drumheller has been charged with break and enter, theft, mischief, wearing a disguise with intent, possession of break-in tools, and possession of stolen property.
McHugh was released by a Justice of the Peace on a recognizance with court-ordered conditions. He will be appearing in Drumheller court July 19.
On June 27th police received a complaint regarding a break and enter in the Dalum area and three males were located and arrested.
Brian Douglas McHugh, 49 of Drumheller is charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, mischief over $5,000, possession of break-in instruments and failing to comply with previous court orders
     Simon Andrew May, 30, of Three Hills, is charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, mischief over $5,000, and possession of break-in instruments.
     David Gregory Mitchell, 32, of Drumheller is charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Mischief over $5,000, and possession of break-in Instruments
All three have been released by a Justice of the Peace with court-ordered conditions. All three will be appearing in Drumheller court on July 19.
