The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce’s fifth annual Spring Expo is back in a new venue and with new booth prices.
The annual Expo and tradeshow will be at the Badlands Community Facility Field House on April 26 and 27. This is a great opportunity for businesses and organizations of all sizes and types to share their products and knowledge and provide an excellent opportunity to network with others in the community.
Drumheller Chamber office and services coordinator, Marley Henneigh, is excited about the new venue.
“The Co-op space was great and the Co-op staff was excellent to work with us previous years… but we are going to be in the BCF Field House and I think it will be a good venue too,” said Henneigh.
The new venue is highly visible and will offer the same ability to host exhibitors. They will continue with the entertainment stage and the Taste of Drumheller exhibits and all the things that have made the Expo such a success in previous years.
“The whole idea of the trade show and why our board and staff decided to do it was just to provide an opportunity for our local businesses and businesses outside of Drumheller to have an event where they can come and grow their business, get some exposure, make some sales, meet some clients,” said Henneigh. “We have lots of non-profit groups that use the Expo too to get some exposure and get their name out there. We look at it as a one-stop–shop for locals to get ready for spring”.
Booths are still available and the standard sizes are 8 feet by 8 feet, or 10 feet by 10 feet. They can also be customized to fit the exhibitors’ need.
To promote the expo and have a great showing, the Chamber has brought down the prices of booths for exhibitors.
“After listening to businesses over the last couple of months, some people are not feeling great about the economy right now. We at the Chamber feel very strongly we want this event to be accessible and affordable for any of our local businesses to participate,” said Henneigh.
    The 8X 8 booths are now $150, and the 10 X 10 booths are $200.

“The Chamber is here to support business and help our businesses grow and to us, a trade show is a good way to do that,” she said.
