Tremendous support for Westergard Toy Drive

IMG 6804

On Wednesday morning, December 12, members of the Drumheller Dragons and Real Country 910 helped the Salvation Army and Westergard Ford load up hundreds of gifts to fill Christmas Hampers this season.
This was the fourth year that Westergard Ford has acted as ground zero for the annual toy drive. Those wishing to purchase toys could come in and pick a tag off the Christmas tree and fulfill the wishes of a young person.
Steven O’Dwyer of Westergard Ford says this was one of the most successful toy drives they have been involved with as generous Drumheller and area residents filled two full sized trucks overflowing with presents. He is grateful for the support from the community but also notes that demand has also risen.
The toys were taken on Wednesday to allow the Salvation Army to begin the task of filling hampers to be delivered to area families in need.
