Howard clears up charges in advent of murder trial

A Munson man who has been charged with murder, cleaned up a number of outstanding charges in provincial court in Drumheller.

  Dylan Howard appeared via closed circuit television on Friday, November 9 from the Calgary Remand Centre. He pleaded guilty to theft under $5,000, disguise with intent, possession of stolen property, evading police and fail to comply with conditions.

Crown Prosecutor Ron Pedersen and defense Hugh Sommerville agreed on a joint submission of a two year sentence.

Judge D.R. Pahl accepted the joint submission for two years and a one year driving prohibition.

Howard will be back in court on January 28, 2019 for a preliminary hearing. He is charged with murder in the death of Fazal Rehman, whose body was discovered south of Morrin on October 16, 2017.
