On July 24th, 2016, at 4:20 PM, Beiseker RCMP received a complaint of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 9 just south of Highway 566. Beiseker RCMP with the assistance of Airdrie Rural RCMP, Fire and EMS all attended.
Preliminary investigations shows a motorcycle crossed the center line and was struck by a southbound Dodge Durango. The 47 year old female motorcyclist from the Strathmore area was pronounced deceased on scene. The name of the deceased is not being released.
Highway 9 was shut down to traffic while a collision analyst attended the scene.
