East Coulee School Museum Receives WLD Legacy Funds

The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce through the World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund presented the Dinosaur Valley Heritage Society with $5,000 on Thursday, January 23.

The Society operates the East Coulee School Museum and will use the funds to revitalize the museum. The project will include replacing the boiler, foundation repairs, a fire alarm system and site grading. John Shoff, President, presented the funds to Barb Steeves, Manager of the East Coulee School Museum.

The World’s Largest Dinosaur Legacy Fund invests a portion of funds generated by the World’s Largest Dinosaur attraction and giftshop to enhance and enrich community economic development initiatives in the Drumheller region. To date the Legacy Fund has contributed over $540,000 to an array of worthy community group projects.

The next application deadline for projects less than $3,000 will be March 1, 2014.
