Who are You?
Where are you originally from?
I am originally from Ontario but that was years ago. I grew up in Calgary.
How long have you lived in the Valley?
I don’t live in the valley at this point.
Who is your employer?
I am self employed, owning the Cooperators insurance locations in Drumheller, Three Hills and Beiseker.
What is your occupation?
My company is ProPlan Financial Group. I am a certified Financial Planner and chartered Insurance Professional.
What do you like most about your job?
The thing I love most about my job is helping and educating people. I always say that at the end of a meeting the least that is going to happen is you will be a little more educated about your financial situation and insurance.
What is your dream job?
My dream job would be a pilot. Maybe when I retire.
What sort of activities do you like to do around the community?
I like to support initiatives that help children and animals. I am also actively involved in the chamber of commerce in all areas I have an office.
What are your top three travel destinations?
Bucket list travel is Africa, Ireland and Hawaii. Today, anywhere with a beach and a cold drink would be fine.
What do you like to do while on vacation?
On vacation I am either reading a book to relax or exploring the culture of the area, away from tourist areas if I can.
If you could hang out with anyone dead or alive, who would it be?
I would love to hang out with Robin Williams.
What is your favourite movie?
My favorite movie is Braveheart.
If you were making a movie about you, which actor would play you?
Actor to play me… No idea.
Skiing or snowboarding?
Definitely skiing. Much better chance of spending the day upright.
What are some wise words of wisdom for everyone?
The big decisions take time and should never be rushed. And mistakes should be encouraged, its how we learn.
