The DVSS Track and field teams have wrapped up a short but productive season.

This year the senior high school track team had nine members including Jenn Madsen, Paula Wade, Courtnay Rusnak, Patrick Li, Cody Gouin, Jason Johnson, Dennis Chan, Jessica Kwok and Dylan Schellenberg.
At the divisional meet, seven athletes advanced to Zones. Due to illness and injury, only four athletes participated in Zones on Wednesday, May 25. Despite being a cool and damp day, the four did well.
Jenn Madsen placed 12th in the 100m, Paula Wade 3rd in high jump, Jason Johnson 10th in high jump, and Dennis Chan 7th in the 1500m run.
The junior high track team saw five members take the field. They included Sam Brown, Megan Rowbottom, Taylor Snow, Raine McDougald and Liliana Montemayor.
Three athletes advanced to Zones on Wednesday June 1. Sam Brown finished 2nd in the high jump, third in the long jump, 4th in 1500m and 5th in the hurdles. Megan Rowbottom placed 7th in long jump and 12th in the 100m. Taylor Snow finished 10th in the hurdles.
Coaches Audrey Debona and Dawn Sullivan are grateful for all the athletes and their parents for participating and driving students to and from practices and meets.
